David L. Wood has practiced law in Fort Collins, Colorado, for the past 45 years.  He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and the CU School of Law.  He has served as President of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, District Attorney for the 8th Judicial District of Colorado and President of the Colorado Bar Association.  He serves as counsel to the Colorado State University Foundation and the Colorado State University Research Foundation. 

He formerly served for twelve years on the board of directors of the Poudre Valley Hospital District, six of those years as chairman.  He has served as general counsel to the Poudre Valley Health System (Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies) for the past 18 years.  He has served in the House of Delegates for both the American Bar Association and the American Hospital Association.
